Production Processes

Many clothes you wear are made out of yarns, which are produced from cotton through a spinning process.

* Cotton spinning is a series of process to make yarns from fibers.

  1. Cotton

  2. 01. Blowing & Mixing This process mixes raw cotton fibers and removes foreign substance.

  3. 02. Carding This process removes cotton wastes such as neps, leafs and trashes and forms cotton into rope-shaped slivers.

  4. 03 Combing Preparation This process combines carded slivers to make sheets, and then winds them to form it into “sliver lap”.

  5. 04 Combing This process combs laps to remove short fibres and dust to improve quality.

  6. 05 Drawing This process combines and draws several slivers into string-like “drawn sliver” and remove uneven thickness from the fibers.

  7. 06 Roving This process further elongates drawn sliver. Twisting is first applied to fibers to obtain the green yarn.

  8. 07 Spinning This process further elongates and twists the green yarn to obtain a desired thickness and strengths.

  9. 08 Winding This process winds the spun yarn into the cheese or cone according to its purpose. This process also removes yarn faults such as uneven parts.
